Carl Bewer's corkscrew (November 31, 1898) German Registered Design #105,407 known as "Amor" or the "Kissing Couple".
This corkscrew is made of black celluloid and brass rivets.
It is marked “D.R.G.M. 105407” on one side and “AMOR GERMANY” on the other.
I believe it is a unique piece as I have never encountered a piece like this before. I have also consulted renowned collectors and they have never seen a black celluloid AMOR corkscrew either.
The corkscrew is in a very good condition as presented in the pictures. There is a tiny crack near the rivet on the soldier’s foot. The worm is of the full length.
