Three Codd Bottle Opener Corkscrews
Three corkscrews with different design handles, each with a Codd bottle opener or marble pusher end.
The first has the classic large bulbous end for fitting over the top of the Codd bottle, and an unusually wide narrow turned varnished wooden handle. It has a bladed worm.
The second has a plain varnished wooden handle with the Codd opener at one end, with a turned “ring” to fit over the bottle top.
The third has a very simple boxwood handle with the Codd opener at one end, and a bladed worm marked “D Ross” and “Sheffield” on the shaft.
See Ellis & Ellis – Corkscrews page 175.
Condition – Very good, some marks and slight loss of varnish on handles, worms are all intact, first has traces of plating on the worm,

Payment Details: | Paypal, Bank Transfer or UK Check. Seller would appreciate if items over 500 pounds value could be paid by Bank Transfer and not Paypal. This is due to major problems experienced previously with Paypal, plus their very high fees. Bank details will be sent on request. |
