Charles Hull's "The Royal Club" With Rollers

Offered is a fine example of the classic Royal Club. This is the somewhat rarer version IV with rollers and oval badge plate. Charles Hull patented this and other variations February 26, 1864. The bronze tablet on the front of the badge mount bears the Royal Coat of Arms and “C. HULL/PATENTEE/BIRMINGHAM/ROYAL/CLUB/CORKSCREW”. Cast into the inner side of the badge plate, though somewhat indistinctly, are the words “OCCASIONALLY OIL WORKING PARTS”.

I consider this piece to be in very good condition with original wire helix which is straight and sharp.
