DESCRIPTION
This is the first time I’ve seen this unusual version of the common French triple wingnut corkscrew. This one, patented by Charles Abel, has the correct large top handle stamped with “SOUVENIR DE PARIS” and a picture of the Eiffel Tower. Overall condition is good: There is a small nibble from the metal on the cage, as can be seen in the last photo, where the screw enters; nonetheless this is an interesting corkscrew with a fine dark patina and smoothly moving mechanism.
