DESCRIPTION
A good example of a folding corkscrew, designed and manufactured by George Willetts, Birmingham, and registered in 1878. This piece shows the registration diamond, and the screw is full, straight and sharp – although stuck in the extended position! A little penetrating oil, plus some patience and gentle persuasion would see it folding again. A scarce piece.
