A very nice example of a mid-19th century, English open-framed mechanical corkscrew with a free turning inner shaft and sliding button. The turned mahogany handle is in good condition with no chips or cracks, and is missing the original dusting brush. The mechanical action is smooth and true, and the brass frame has no dents or cracks and has a deep, unpolished patina. The screw is full, straight and sharp.
As described above
