Robertson 1905 Canadian/US Patent Direct Pressure Corkscrew
Rare direct pressure corkscrew by Peter Lymburner Robertson, Canfield, Ontario, Canada.
It has a narrow brass barrel with fixed solid brass handles at the top, an internal wide left hand thread shaft, and a round wooden handle at the top of the shaft. It is unmarked. 17 cms closed.
Robertson was granted Canadian Patent No. 95,620 on October 17, 1905 and USA Patent No. 800,682 on October 3. 1905. He applied for the Canadian patent two weeks before the U. S. application.

Condition – Very good, marks and scratches all over barrel and brass handles, small dents on wooden handle, worm is intact, mechanism works OK.
