DESCRIPTION
Wilson’s S-Patent Double Helix Corkscrew
This is the larger size version of the fairly rare double helix corkscrew with wooden handle. It was patented by James Edward Wilson in England in March 3, and in France on March 23, both in 1877. It was also patented in Germany on July 13, 1877, but by Friedrich Schäfer.
I consider this example to be in very good to excellent condition. It is fully marked with the usual “S-PATENT”. The trademark bell is indistinct.
