A rare corkscrew for which Hugo Lautier obtained the German registered design number 67,352, 11th of November 1896.
It has an interesting mechanism inside the handle that is released when the worm is fully inserted. After the mechanism is released, the shaft rises and the cork is extracted from the bottle.
A similar piece can be seen in Ferd. Peters’ book, Mechanical Corkscrews, page 151, figure 465.
The piece is in good condition.
