DESCRIPTION

This is figure 39. A direct pressure corkscrew with a spring assisted locking device on the lower end of the brass tube marked on the brass tube  PATENT. Manufactured by Charles Hull of Birmingham after W. H. Van Gieson’s U. S. 1867 patent specification No. 61,485, Jan. 22, 1867 or preceded this corkscrew Van Gieson’s patent.
