For the advanced collector--exceedingly rare W. Dickson's 1870 Racket Mechanism corkscrew with wire breaker....
ScrewCode*MUm010: an early US Patent #106,036, Walter Dickson, 02 Aug. 1870, Nicket plated blind riveted cast steel handle with internal double ratchet mechanism, wire breaker and center point bladed worm. Markings: Pat Aug 2, 1870 on shaft.
Operation: Double ratchet mechanism allows insertion and removal of worm with continous grip and back and forth action. Push down for insertion - pull up for removing cork after withdrawing cork in normal straight pull fashion. Length is 6". Satis. guaranteed.

CONDITION
Very good to fine condition--some loss of plating on handle but after 140 years, it is still a very nice corkscrew.
