One of the rarest Welch Grape Juice advertising corkscrews is Puddefoot 1894 patent--THE DETROIT.....
ScrewCode* lwI341: Nickel plated Puddefoot 1894 US Patent, THE DETROIT, Solid Neckstand with Wire Pry, bladed worm-center point. Markings--"THE DETROIT, Patd. Jul 10-94" and advertising on the handle--"THE WELCH GRAPE JUICE CO., WATKINS,N.Y." N.B. The Welch Grape Juice Co. was located in Watkins, N.Y. (actually Watkins Glen) for only 2 years--1898-1900 and so this was only produced in a very small quantity. Length is 4.5" in closed position. Also includes a very rare Welch' Grape Bottle with cork top from Vineland, N.J.--where Welch's Grape Juice Co. started in 1869. Satis. guaranteed.
