DESCRIPTION
This fairly rare puller consists of two separate metal prongs and a wooden dowel (see photos). A translation of the directions on the sides of the box instruct the user to “Push the blades down between the cork and the bottle, the flat side of each blade facing the cork using a small hammer or any object. Place the wooden dowel through the two hooks and twist while pulling toward you.” Both the puller and the original box are in very good to excellent condition. The wooden dowel is fully marked with the markings being clear and readable. For some reason, there is some pitting on just one side of one of the loops which I consider to be minor, otherwise I would rate this example as being in virtual mint condition (see insert in photo below). The box is 3 inches long and the wooden dowel is 2 ½ inches. See Bull’s “Boxes Full of Corkscrews”, page 199 and “The Ultimate Corkscrew Book” page 122.
