alrus tusk with French Excelsior mechanism & sterling cap. This piece has a sterling silver cap with a band of leaves and flowers. The sterling cap has no dents or cracks and is marked "Sterling". The tusk is in excellent condition and has no chips or cracks. The French Excelsior corkscrew mechanism is in excellent working order and retains almost all the original plating. The corkscrew worm is full length with a sharp point. (Please see pictures for additional details).
