1880 Patent L'Excelsior Corkscrew
1880 Patent L'Excelsior Corkscrew marked on the top of the button L'EXCELSIOR, A. G. BTE S.G.D.G. PARIS (see below).
A. G. is Armand Guichard and this is his 1880 French patent. The worm is inserted into the cork and the frame descends to meet the bottle neck. Reversing the rotation lifts the cork in the frame. Brass frame and button. Nickel plated shaft. Complete with buttons on the ends of the handle. Very good condition.
