This is a frame corkscrew with a handle mechanism. By turning the handle clockwise, the worm is inserted into the cork and then the shaft is pulled up the frame through the two parts of the handle.
The frame is marked BODEGA 2 and D.R.P NO 113367.
The item is in good condition.
The corkscrew and its versions (Bodega 1 and 3) can be seen in Ferd. Peters’ book, Mechanical Corkscrews (page 155). In Fletcher Wallis’ book, British Corkscrew Patents from 1795 (page 184), a patent drawing is also illustrated.
