American Wilber Woodman U.S. Patent No 344,556 dated June 29, 1886. The spur on the cross bar is used to lock the ring on the end of the worm during insertion into the cork. Marked "WOODMAN'S PATENT, PAT'D JAN,Y 8, 1886". A very nice example of a hard to find piece.
This piece is in very good conditon with no broken or damaged parts. The corkscrew worm is full length with a good sharp point. (Please see pictures for additional details)
