DESCRIPTION

 

French version of the all steel double lever corkscrew GOLIATH. It has a split flip handle and is larger in scale than the German and English versions. The stop pins on the handles just below the hinge arms point to this as being the original of four modifications produced from 1910 to 1940, thus dating it closer to 1910 (see Peters, Mechanical Corkscrews, Fig. 649). Archimedean worm.
