Valentin Rasch German patent # 20,803 dated March 14, 1882.
Valentin Rasch German patent # 20,803 dated March 14, 1882. This is the early version of the Rasch patent with rollers at the top of the frame. The handle is pinned to the shaft and turns using the rollers as a fulcrum. This lifts the shaft pulling the cork.
This piece is in excellent condition and good working order. The corkscrew has no broken or damaged parts and the corkscrew worm is full length with a sharp point. The corkscrew has a very nice dark patina. (Please see pictures for additional details.)
