"ROYAL" Ernst Demmler registration # 50,567 dated December 24, 1895.
German corkscrew with a notch in the shaft and a locking pin inside the handle. The handle is automatically released when the base of the handle contacts the frame. The handle then revolves down the thread to pull the cork. German registered design Aug Bies and Ernst Demmler registration # 50,567 dated December 24, 1895. Shown in German catalogs as the” Royal’.
This piece is in very good condition and good working order. The corkscrew has no broken or damaged parts and the corkscrew worm is full length with a sharp point. The corkscrew retains most of the original plating, with some small areas of plating wear on the neck ring. (Please see pictures for additional details.)
