German registered design E. Schuhmann, Dusseldorf, registration no 214160 dated November 17, 1903. Marked “RIVAL D.R.G.M. No 214160”.
German Hercules type corkscrew with two offset pins in a collar attached to the shaft. The pins contact projections in the top of the frame when the worm is turned into the cork. When the cork is extracted the handle is turned anti-clockwise and the pins then slide through two slots in the frame. This allows the frame to slide up the shaft allowing easy removal of the cork. German registered design E. Schuhmann, Dusseldorf, registration no 214160 dated November 17, 1903. Marked “RIVAL D.R.G.M. No 214160”.
This piece is in excellent condition and good working order. The corkscrew has no broken or damaged parts and the corkscrew worm is full length with a sharp point. The corkscrew retains most of the original plating (Please see pictures for additional details.)
