DESCRIPTION
Very rare German corkscrew with 2 Patents!
Marked “D.R.G.M.“ and “D.R.P. ANGEM.“
This is a really rare German corkscrew as it has 2 Patents.The German Registered Design Pat. No. 140.626 was given on August 15, 1900 to Nath. Ermetz for the two sleeves inside the open frame bell for ejecting the cork automatically from the worm.
The second patent is the well known patent D.R.G.M. No.60.662 of May2nd, 1891 to H. Erhardt given for the swivel over collar, later sold to Reissmann.
The bell is made of sheet steel with metal handle, both nickle plated.
It is clearly marked on top of the shoulder “D.R.G.M.“ and “D.R.P. ANGEM.“( means announced).
Weight 150 grams. Lengths opened 14 cms.
To the best of my knowledge this version is
not yet illustrated in any book!
This interesting and rare corkscrew is in very good and clean condition, has a sharp bladed worm and is working smoothly!
