Ellis Collection - Hull’s Patent Presto

Nice example of the Presto direct pressure corkscrew, marked “C Hull’s Patent” on the brass barrel and “Chas Hull’s Patent Presto Corkscrew” on the brass tablet at the end of the handle. 
The brass button at the end pulls out to release the long inner threaded brass shaft with a typical wide worm.  The shaft is pushed back into the barrel and locks inside. 
The simple dark wood handle has a brush.

Condition – Very good – Dark marks on brass barrel, scratches and light indents on wooden handle, 2 small gouges on one side at brush end, worm is intact, mechanism works OK.
