An unusual, unmarked example of an extendable, rotating speed worm, direct pressure corkscrew, of an identical type patented by A.L. Qvarnstrom, Sweden between 1892-1895, and made under licence by Julius Sloor of Stockhlom. Subsequently patented in England, Germany and the USA between the same years, and also known as 'The Lightning'.
This example is in good condition with the brass shaft having no dents/scratches/cracks, etc.
The extending, rotating action is still smooth and fully functional and the speed worm is full, straight and sharp.
The turned wooden handle has some loss of the original black paint and apart from one very, very small chip to the inner detail of one arm, it is in very good condition.
