DESCRIPTION
English Sunderland Patent - Marked THE KING.
English Fredrick Sunderland patent # 6064, dated March 12, 1904. Manufactured by Coney & Co. Birmingham. This piece has a revolving crab piece on the shaft to reverse the direction of movement of the worm and pull the cork. This example is marked "THE KING' on one side of the frame.
This piece is in good overall condition and retains most of the original copper wash. It is in good working order with no broken or damaged parts. The handle has no chips or cracks. The corkscrew worm is full length with a sharp point.
