Wally Mellors Collection Ref X005 Uncatalogued
This is a very nice example of a version of the Thomason VI variant with a gothic church window barrel. It is fitted with a turned white bone handle and a wire worm. See pages 16-18, British Corkscrew Patents from 1795 by Fletcher Wallis.
Overall closed length 135mm.
No markings.
Barrel is in excellent condition and the mechanism works well. Looks very nice but there is no suspension hook and the bone handle may not be original? (see photos).
