DESCRIPTION
Wally Mellors Collection Ref No561 (MRf014)
An original Lund London Rack in steel with a beautifully patinated whaleback wood handle with a brush and hanger. A pin at the top of the shaft cooperates with a notch on the frame to limit insertion of the worm.
Length 170 mm overall
The worm is a simple helix
The corkscrew is fully marked with LUND MAKER CORNHILL on one side of the frame and AND FLEET ST LONDON on the other. It is also marked LUND PATENT LONDON RACK at the top of the shaft.
CONDITION
The whole is in good condition with about 50% of its original bronze paint. Although the worm seems to be a little short it has an original patina right up to the tip (see photos).
