Seven German Waiter’s Friends -
1) Classic original Waiter’s Friend marked “D.R. Patent No. 20815. It has a small wire cutter blade at the far end and a bladed worm. This is the 1882 German Patent of Karl Wienke, Rostock. 11 cms
2) Nickel plated steel marked “Original Hebel” with decorative patterns both sides and a solid hanging ring at the far end. It has a cap lifter in the side arm. These were made by Eduard Becker, Solingen, from a 1897 German Registered Design. 11 cms
3) Newer version of 2) in chrome plated steel marked “Original Hebel”. It has a knife blade marked “Solingen” and no ring. 10.8 cms
4) Plated steel with an unusual side arm with caplifter and a cut-out gap for a small wire cutter blade to fit underneath. It has a knife blade at the far end and a wire worm. It is marked “Pat. Ang.” (Patent Applied For) and No. 7 on the side arm with crown logo. The handle is marked “Julius Kayser & Co. (London) Limited” on one side, for a German wine company. 12 cms
5) Nickel plated steel with a different shape side arm and a rotating can opener at the far end. It is marked “Standard D.R.G.M.” on one side. This is the 1931 German Registration of Robert Kirchner. 10.5 cms
6) Nickel plated steel with a champagne hook fixed to the side arm and a wire cutter blade below and no cap lifter. It has a wire worm. The handle is marked “Ask for Trayder’s “Perfection” Belfast Ginger Ale” on both sides. This is an unmarked 1902 German Registration of Ernst Seinfeld, Solingen. 10 cms
7) Different shape nickel plated steel handle with classic side arm with cap lifter and a knife blade indistinctly marked “Roger xxxx Solingen”. The handle is marked “Bingen a. Rhein” with a drawing of a large factory marked “Scharlachberg SEKT” on one side. The other side is marked “Scharlachberg Sekt” with an S logo. This is a local sparkling wine. 9 cms

Condition – Very good, all have marks and scratches, some loss of plating.
