DESCRIPTION
W. H. Van Gieson’s U. S. Patent Number 61,485 of January 1867 for a direct pressure corkscrew. Works fine. Handle is perfect. Overall excellent condition.
This corkscrew is from the collection of Homer Babbidge. Homer was a founder member of the ICCA. He co-authored “Corkscrews for Collectors” with Bernard Watney. Homer died in 1984.
