DESCRIPTION
John Mabson’s British Patent No. 527 of August 20, 1869 for “Improvements in appliances for drawing corks and for receiving was and dirt which fall therefrom.” Not marked. Brush missing. This corkscrew is from the collection of Homer Babbidge. Homer was a founder member of the ICCA. He co-authored “Corkscrews for Collectors” with Bernard Watney. Homer died in 1984.
