This is unusual mechanical corkscrew. It's a 1927 French patent no. 631295 by Henri Paraf. It has 2 levers that assist the user in extracting the cork. This is a more rare version of the TYR that features a hinged catch piece at the top. This is an all steel piece, that appears to have been painted, ultimately protecting the steel from corrosion. The mechanism works well and the corkscrew is full and sharp.
