A very rare German corkscrew, marked on top handle 'DRGM', also initials stamped on frame.
Nickel plated 80% of which remains, good patina, full worm, overall great condition.
Probably an example of a German registered design by Demmler, with a sliding locking mechanism inside one side of the handle.
See Ferd Peters Mechanical corkscrew book, page 147, figure 446, for a similar example. The only record I have seen of a similar example for sale was in a later Christies auction and that example looks to be a more modern copy.
very good condition, no faults or issues.
