Very unusual corkscrew with a second spring inside the usual outer spring barrel, and four small claws at the end of the inner spring to grip the cork. This is an unmarked version of Carl Ulrich’s 1898 German Registration No 90188.
See Peters - Mechanical Corkscrews page 88.
Condition - Very good, there is no plating but the spring has a good patina, the bladed worm is intact. The wooden handle is very plain and not varnished.

Seller accepts PayPal payments | |
Payment Details: | Paypal, Bank Transfer or UK Check. Seller would appreciate if items over 500 pounds value could be paid by Bank Transfer and not Paypal. This is due to major problems experienced previously with Paypal, plus their very high fees. Bank details will be sent on request. |
