Very elegant cylindrical 18th Century etui in silver and black leather containing 2 knife blades, a needle/pricker, tweezers with ear scoop at the end, delicate folding scissors, and of course a corkscrew. This has an amazing tight multi-bladed Archimedean worm. The corkscrew and the tools have a threaded top which screws into a hole at the bottom of the case, which acts as the handle. The head of the worm has a knop with a hole through it, and the pricker fits through it to create a T handle for pulling the cork. 10 cms long.
See Peters & Giulian – Pocket Corkscrews – page 10.
.
Condition – very good, some scuffing of the leather at the bottom, tools all OK, very end tip of worm may be missing

Seller accepts PayPal payments | |
Payment Details: | Paypal, Bank Transfer or UK Check. Seller would appreciate if items over 500 pounds value could be paid by Bank Transfer and not Paypal. This is due to major problems experienced previously with Paypal, plus their very high fees. Bank details will be sent on request. |
