This is an English all steel double action two pillar 1802 patent Thomason-type corkscrew with bone-handle and what looks like the original brush. I believe this corkscrew is quite rare. I have seen it only once in auction catalogues from Christies 1987-2005. Two short hairline cracks on the handle. Unmarked. Perfect working condition. Some small surface rust spots but overall in very good condition and a very nice patina. Wire helix worm. See Mechanical Corkscrews by Ferd Peters page 128 top middle for a similar example but this has flat cut front and back on the shoulder. 8 inch-20,5cm tall. Shipping and handling cost to -Europe 5€ Overseas 7€ optional insurance 10€. Payment by IMO, cashiers cheque or Paypal. Items paid through Paypal will be sent as soon as I am notified.
